Kristín Einarsdóttir

Hello! I’m Kristín, co-founder of Smart Teachers Play More, with over 30 years of experience in teaching and project development across Iceland and the Nordic countries.

I originally trained as a Physical Education teacher and have since expanded my expertise to include primary education, as well as certification in yoga and mindfulness instruction.  I am also the creator of the Play to Learn More method, which combines academic subjects with play and movement to enhance learning. My passion is to train as many teachers as possible in the method in order to ensure that students and teachers everywhere can benefit from the powerful experience of learning using their senses and movement.

In 2016, I met Sarah Jane Anthony, the founder of Smartenglish Creative Language School, and together we merged our approaches to create Smart Teachers Play More, focusing on movement and well-being in classroom learning.

Our project quickly gained international attention, attracting Erasmus+ and other global initiatives dedicated to improving education. Today, I’m proud to lead a passionate international team of teacher trainers, continuously developing new courses and methodologies based on our shared experience and the latest neuroscience research.

Outside of work, I enjoy family time, cross-country skiing, golf, mountain running, and learning new skills—currently juggling and roller skiing (but not at the same time)!
