This sample programme outlines a two-day professional learning conference based on the Smart Teachers Play More Method.
The programme is designed for Early Years and Primary teachers and leaders and can be adapted to suit school networks, cultural contexts, and logistical needs.

Conference Structure at a Glance

Optional Early Bird Wellbeing Sessions  

(Both Days)

Each day may begin with an optional early morning session, offering teachers a calm or energising start to the day. Participants may choose one of the following:

 
 

A mindful walk, using the senses to arrive calmly and attentively

Morning yoga or mindful movement, supporting regulation and focus

 A gentle activating movement session to energise the body and brain

 

These sessions model autonomy, wellbeing, and inclusion, and are entirely optional.

Opening Session – STPM ACTIVATE

Welcome and introduction to the Smart Teachers Play More Method, exploring the science and neuroscience underpinning the approach, while actively experiencing how movement supports focus, motivation, and connection in the classroom.

Session 1 – Parallel Learning Strands

Participants select one main learning strand aligned with their role, context, or professional focus. Each strand offers practical, movement-based strategies rooted in the STPM Methodology.

Deeper practical application within the chosen strand, with clear links to everyday classroom practice and opportunities to adapt strategies to different learning contexts.

Deepening, Vision & Application

Reconnecting, calming, and exploring regulation through the concept of “Now Minutes” — short, intentional moments that support emotional balance, focus, and wellbeing for both children and teachers.

Further practical strategies within each strand, supporting deeper understanding, confidence, and adaptability across classroom contexts.
